Vought F4U-7 Corsair (133704 but marked as 129358 ‘WS‑8’). Nicknamed the ‘Bent Wing Widow Maker’ and ‘Whistling Death’. This Corsair is restored as an AU‑1 in the markings of San Diego Padres baseball announcer Jerry Coleman, who flew Corsairs with the Marines in Korea. The museum received this aircraft from the Navy in 2008 and restored it over a three year period.
