de Havilland DH.100 Vampire F.3 (VT812 ‘N’). The Vampire F.3 was a long- range version of the F.1. This example is displayed in RAF No. 601 Squadron markings. The Vampire was used by the RAF in the immediate post-war period as a front-line fighter in the United Kingdom and Germany.
