Avro Shackleton MR.3 (WR974 ‘K’ - later 8117M). First flight, May 1957. Spent a large part of its life as a trials/evaluation aircraft for example: armaments trials in tropical conditions, winterization tests and armament trials. Ended its flying career in 1970 with the Kinloss Wing. Career ended at Cosford as an instructional airframe where it was coded ‘8117M’.
