Messerschmitt Bf-109E (4101 ‘12’). An aircraft that was as fast as the Spitfire, faster than the Hurricane, but which could out-climb both. This display was operated by jagdgeschwader 41 and was shot down by a Spitfire over Kent in 1940. Upon recovery it was repaired and used for evaluation.
